Thick gauge steel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very solid, sturdy steel won't bend with use. Easy installation with screws provided. It can be mounted for either left or right hand opening gates. Self latching so it is easy to close even if your hands are full, you don't have to deal with closing a Latch. This is a nice product.

Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This latch is indeed made of heavy-duty steel. am using this on the gate access to my backyard. Mounting was easy--the latch is mounted on the edge of a 2X4, and the bolt is mounted on the gate. The gate latches easily and firmly as the gate is closed.

I needed these
