Shimano Fishing SOLARA 70 M 2PC CST A Freshwater Multi-Species Casting [SLC70M2A]

A Shimano rod for $20, quality and reliability are a given. I have purchased three so far and will be purchasing one more very soon. This is a excellent fishing rod weather it is a spinning rod or bait caster, (I purchased both) and the low price is awesome.

These Shimano Solara have become some of my favorite. This is the second 6' medium action model I've purchased I like it so much. This rod makes a perfect spincast combo out of most reels you pair it with. The overall length is just about right, the handle length compliments the size and weight of the rod when paired with a medium sized reel. The action feels a little on the light side for a medium power rod, but it's fiberglass so it's going to be a bit more flexible than a similar sized carbon rod. I like it, makes reeling fish in feel like you've got a monster on. Rated for 10lb-15lb line, I've used 6lb and 8lb on these rods with no issues. This may be one of the nicest little all around rods you can get and be able to afford it.
