Apple Barrel Acrylic Craft Paint, Matte Finish, Black , 128 fl oz

Got the gallon sized Apple Barrel matte black acrylic craft paint. Perfect for crafting with kids and a definite add on to any art supply. Paint comes packaged in a nice milk jug type bottle with a handle. It is bagged in a thick Ziploc bag in case of damage during shipping. Handle is great for pouring out the paint. I poured the paint into smaller sized bottles for individual use. A gallon of paint will go a very long way – lifetime I'm thinking for at home use. The paint itself is very thick. When I poured it out it was a lot thicker than I expected. On white paper, the paint goes on smoothly and a little goes a long way – because of the thickness, you don't have to apply multiple layers on top of layers. The paint did not take a long time to dry which is great for impatient kids. When you paint it on paper at first, the color actually looks pretty glossy but then when it dries, I was surprised at how matte the color actually looked. See picture – it looks more matte-like in real life and all that paint was just the paint from the top of the protective lid you peel off. The black was a nice dark matte black. The paint did not go through a normal white printer paper but it did curl the paper a bit where I used more paint. Clean-up was a breeze - I was able to wash off the paint on my hands and the paint brushes with just water. Will definitely get more colors to add to the collection. The kids loved it and I loved the dark color, thickness, quick drying ability, and the easy clean-up.
