18 inch length compared to 12 inches for the cheaper sets.
Nice length. These are 18 inches long, compared to about 12 inches for the cheaper ones. I have warm white Icicle lights with these multi color meteor lights hanging in front. Inability to install string to string makes things a bit more difficult, but extra long cords provided help with that problem. I would pay more if they came with an integrated extension cord allowing for string to string installation. Putting these around your eves or extensively in a tree would be an issue.

I've had these up for 2 weeks now and all is well. They look great from the road but i wish they were a bit longer. I purchased two of the multi-color strings and wish that they could be programed; Or at least be able to vary the color and speed of the LED strip. The LEDs are nice and bright and easy to install. As far as durability, they appear to be doing ok in a N.E. Ohio winter. I'll update after the season is over. I'll probably add a string next year after I see how well these hold up.
