The model fits my tank perfectly, reach and strong flow
The model fits my tank perfectly, reach and strong flow. Got the pro 125 for a tall square 20Gal tank. The width fits with the aquarium lid perfectly. And the extendable intake tube goes down deep. And also like the adjustable intake near the top to help balance the intake flow. My wheel works perfectly, the flow is quite strong. In my take the motor and return are completely submerged. I like to keep the waterline just above the top black trim. The only con is that the vibration of the overflow pressing against the back of the glass is a bit loud. I tamed this by cutting a small rubber ball in half and placing in between the tank and glass. I think this is one of the best filters I've owned. I owned TopFin, Fluval, Aquaclear and someother I can't remember. So far very simple to setup and pump in the water means no priming needed.

I bought this filter over a year ago and it's been amazing! It flows so much better than the fluval I had on my other tank!
Super Quiet
I bought the Penguin Pro 125 to replace a filter that came with an aquarium kit I purchased. The kit filter had an annoying hum. The Pro125 is so quiet I don't notice it is on. A couple tips regarding the filter. 1) Give the bio wheel 48 hours to brake in and be quiet. 2) Make sure your tank water is filled to just below the top frame of the aquarium.
