The purpose of the SL-1.25 Seam Locker is to fold and close longitudinal Pittsburgh lock joints/seams on ductwork, e.g. ventilation ducts, housings, containers, etc. This creates a clean and uniform folded seam. This machine does not create a Pittsburgh seam, only folds the seam. The machine will automatically adjust itself for sheet thickness as long as it is within specifications. The quality of the locking seam depends on the height of flange. If flange is too large or too small, the lock seam cannot close properly.
