Quite Warm

I bought this for a camping trip up in Alaska, and it kept me plenty warm with nighttime temperatures around freezing every night wearing just a base layer. I brought a wool blanket to use as a liner, but I never needed it. It also packs down small enough that I'd consider taking it backpacking. I did my research before buying, and it hits the sweet spot for price/warmth/packability.

Lightweight, Super Soft, Comfortable, Easy to Pack

I haven’t tested this in weather as low as 20°, but it was probably about 50 to 55°F where we camped up in the Black Hills/grassy plains of South Dakota, and I enjoyed this bag.I don’t love mummy bags, and since it was warm enough I just opened it all the way and used it more like a comforter while I slept on my sleeping pad in our tent and then in our vehicle. The material is soft and quiet (nice for light sleepers like me!). It feels like jersey cotton or something similar; soft, breathable, light and comfortable. It kept me warm but not sticky or sweaty like traditional sleeping bag material does. I love how easily it packs down in our compression sack (purchased separately) and how lightweight it is! Really, by the way, the bag compressed enough that if you’re not a super serious backpacker (we aren’t but I wanted to try the compression sack for packing space efficiency in my bag) the included stuff sack is totally sufficient for regular camping use. I also loved the included zippered pocket on the inside of the bag—genius! As well as the extra zipper by the feet for ventilation—a must for those whose feed need to “breathe” or to keep from overheating in the bag. We bought these for our kids but I “borrowed” it for a camping trip with my husband and I’d totally use it again! *Note: because I haven’t tested this in 20 degrees, I can’t give a credible rating as to its durability and quality on that aspect. That’s the only reason for the fewer stars in my rating!

Finally something that crunches down!

My son and I are headed on a troop adventure, canoeing on the river for four days, and I knew we needed another bag—yet it needed to be light and portable. Landed this adult sized sleeping bag and tested, unfolding it, crawling in, and—most importantly to me—getting the thing back into the travel-friendly stuff sack. It past the test. Folded over lengthwise, and folded a third over onto itself, then rolled tightly, it fit easily back into its stuck sack. This is going to be a great trip and one that I don't need to fret about getting the bags back into the sacks (in less than 40 minutes like others that require engineering and wrestling skills)
