These are very stiff with no flexibility and make walking hard if you're not used to this style of shoe. I have wide feet and high arches and wear a 7.5 wide in most shoes. I ordered an 8 and other than the problems listed below, the length was fine and offered enough room for a thick sock. A 7 probably would be a just fit with bare feet. While the footbed arch support is nice, the instep of the top of the shoe is too tight. Plus the footbed at the ball of the foot is too narrow, causing the foot to sit on the hard, raised edge of the shoe. Very painful! However, the heel cup and toe room past the ball of the foot are very good. So for regular or narrow feet, these would be fine, but if you have a wide foot or high instep you may want to look elsewhere.
