I was anxiously waiting for the cord to be delivered because my HP laptop batteries only last 2 hours, so I have to keep my laptop plugged in to use it all day. The previous cord shorted out at the end of the plug-in and it was really short like only 4 foot long. When I received this cord it was long and that is what I wanted because now I can sit at the couch or kitchen and not have to unplug it in. So I connected the cord to the power supply and then to my 3 prong insert on the HP pack. Bam! works great and I can move around a lot farther then before.
