Perfect for school. They don’t leak in backpack as long as the lock is flipped into place. My little boy did put it in his backpack one day without locking the lid and his water spilled. The cup is not insulated and sweats pretty bad with ice water. My little boy prefers to take room temp water in it to school so the condensation doesn’t get on his desk. Otherwise, we love the cup and Ryan.
