The mirror rotates. One side is regular and the other is magnified. I found the magnification adequate for close ups with eyes/eyebrow care. The mirror stayed put when I would tilt it to the position I wanted it. That's important to me. The wood frame is decent quality. Not cheap particle board like others that are out there. Seems good value for the price. Keep in mind the size of glass is smaller, like 5.8 X 7.2 inches. Packed well. Arrived safely.
