I was a bit skeptical getting lights that are solar powered but a friend of mine got it and said they work fine. The concept seemed new to me and I got these. I opened the package and let the solar panel soaking up the sun and at night the lights lit up and they're so cute! They are super light and I hung them by my garage door no problems and easily. You don't need an outlet around since they turn on at night all by itself. Since this is a set that comes with 2, the other bundle I put it across my backyard and it gave such a cute cozy vibe! The light is warm and you can have it steadily on or on a mode that they flicker, your choice. Looks like great quality and I'm super pleased with the purchase.

I bought these to put on our barn. We have bats that like to take shelter in there all year long, and that means lots of guano all over! Unhealthy, and annoying! We were originally leaving our barn lights on 24/7 and I wanted to find lights like these that marked all of my boxes: LED (low energy output), turns on by itself at sundown (solar), and long enough to stretch across my barns' 2 sided openings. The lights are soft (I got the soft yellow lights), they stay on all night (at least until about 5am or so), and they have about 10 different modes (solid, flashing, strobing, skipping, etc.). I won't use any of these because I need them to be solid for the bats who hate constant light, but it's nice to have the option! I love that they came with a stake for the solar panel. I made a little shelf for mine so it can sit up high.
