Van Helsing (4K Ultra HD + Digital) [UHD]

This 4k presents the film is stunning quality and delivers extensive special features around the making of the film as well as the history of the iconic creatures in the film. For the film itself, Van Helsing is essentially a Universal Monsters team up film delivering the big three: Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolfman in a modern style. The film plays almost like a Hellboy film with Van Helsing as our protector from monsters. The cast is great and the film feels like it should, that is, it doesn't take itself too seriously while also not making fun of the creatures/monsters who we've loved for nearly a century. The film is not going to make you feel like you've watched something entirely new (though it is certainly unique/authentic in its approach), but it does deliver the nolstalgia of the monsters together as well as the throwback classic hero archetype in Van Helsing himself!
