Very Nice Set - Was Pleasantly Surprised
Based on other consumer reviews I was expecting a "nice" dining set for my daughter's new condo, but this was much better than I expected. We got the set with the 4 ladder back chairs (see my review of the chairs). We had the set delivered to our home - came very quickly, was securely packaged, and arrived in excellent shape. No problem loading into my GMC Acadia to take to my daughters place - we assembled it there. Finish on both the tables and chairs is very nice - no chips, scratches, apparent flaws. Table and chairs were very easy to assemble. No missing parts and even included the wrenches needed for assembly. Only thing I would mention about buying the set is this -- the chairs are on the smaller side and I do not think they would hold up or be comfortable for larger people. If you are on the taller side you might feel like you are sitting in a "kiddie chair". They also might not be sturdy enough for a larger person. Table would be fine, you might just want to consider not buying the set and looking for better chairs. Otherwise, I do not think this set would disappoint. The black is rich looking and for the price I would get this table over the comperable one at say The Pottery Barn (as an example). Again, not only met but exceeded our expectations and my daughter is proud to have this set in her dining room. Thanks.
