Truly the best hairbrush I've ever owned! As a black American woman with wavy to moderately tight, z-patterned curls, I exclusively use boar bristle brushes, though in the last few decades, it's been difficult to find one that's well-made with bristles stiff enough for my hair. The cost of this brush is very high, but it's also worth every penny—these are, indeed, the stiffest bristles I've found, and with just a 2-3 strokes per section, my hair feels softer and is nicely smoothed. Wow! The only thing I'm not wild about is how lightweight the wood is and how it's not lacquered, but for how well it works compared to what's available in beauty supply stores and big box stores, I'm happy to overlook that. Definitely recommend this brush to those who need or want stiff bristles that don't damage your hair!
