Functional but fit poorly

These are a sturdy unit that does what they say but there are issues. For one they are not shaped as seen in this picture. The top tub us a rectangle that does not tuck under the body. The picture shows a tapered triangle. Secondly, there are three mounting areas that show 4 bolts each to attach the mounting bracket to the rail. Even though they are slotted they do not line up well enough to get more than 2 bolts in each. On the back bracket the 2 bolts have to be forced through the slots. The drivers side is closer than the passenger side but neither line up well. If you don't have some mechanical skills have them installed or buy a nicer set. The instruction are weak and show the wrong order to install the mounting brackets. Finally they should have tapered the steps toward the back. They stick out about 1" more than the front fender at the front. But stick out 3+ inches more than the rear fender flare at the back.
