Temptrol Brass Pressure-Balancing Tub and Shower Valve

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been remodeling a bathroom and had an old welded copper pipe pressure balancing from Delta that was leading and had to be replaced. Not wanting to use welded again, this was a good time to upgrade. This temptrol is "generic" in that it works well with many/most brands or even off brand kits - it feels well made and has newer attachment options able to work with PEX or copper fittings...but without welding. Basically I cut out the old valve using pipe cutters and then measured for the new - it does take time to get it right and work the valve in without bending etc...I opted for copper not pex again but using compression fittings. Time will tell how well it worked but so far it's been holding well.
