The NICOR EFH6-LED is a Fire Rated 6-inch Recessed Housing designed for new construction applications. The housing is UL Classified for a 2-hour Fire Rating. The durable double wall steel construction incorporates a non-combustible fiber insulation layer to block flames and gasses from entering the ceiling above. The insulation layer also acts as sound proofing to reduce the noise level passed between floors. The EFH6-LED is designed for standard 6-inch recessed downlights and trims. It also features an IDEAL Quick-Connect for a simple snap-in connection to most LED downlights. This makes installation as easy as possible. The IDEAL quick-connect also improves light efficiency and quality that are usually lost through the Edison base connection. The EFH6-LED housing is Insulation Contact Rated (IC-Rated), Airtight, and Wet-Location Rated when used with a Wet-Location Rated downlight or trim. This makes it the perfect housing for showers and bathrooms. It also keeps your home or office insulated and energy efficient. The EFH6-LED also features extendable hangar bars and end brackets (with pre-set nails) that swivel 90deg. during installation. This allows them to be affixed one side at a time.
