The chimney mount works fine. It would be better if it came with instructions, https://support.channelmaster.com/hc/en-us/articles/200383775-Installing-a-Chimney-Mount-CM3080- , washers and anti-backing nuts. I glued the the mounts to the chimney and glued up 1/2 conduit brackets to hold the straps as trying to hold it all up against the chimney 20 feet in the air is impossible. Once the silicone had set, assembly was fairly easy.
