Bet this is gong to be VERY useful, next disaster.
I bought this for use when the power goes out due to storms or wildfire. But also in case I need to evacuate again, as I have twice in the past few years due to wildfire. Happily, my house was fine both times. But I went to friend's who were without over, so was a most welcome guest as I had two smaller Goal Zero batteries and a portable solar panel, so we could power up our phones and run a small air filter. Having a Yeti 500 means I'll be able to take more storage with me in case of prolonged outages. So, I haven't used either component yet. But it's a comfort knowing I have them in my closet with my "go bag" and other important items.

I had some hesitation about buying “open box” & when I got it I connected my Boulder Solar Panel to it & it worked without any issues. I checked every ‘outlet' and all worked as well. If you're thinking about buying an open box to save some money I would recommend to do it but double/triple check everything out. I've used my Yeti 500 for two weeks straight and didn't have any problems at all. I love all my GoalZero products.
