Brantford Wood Queen Panel Bed Barrel Oak

I like this bed. It is exactly as pictured. A simple rustic design with clean lines and no sharp edges. It is not the sturdiest build; the frame only comes with 4 wooden slats to support the mattress. These provide bare-minimum support for the person and will potentially break if an overweight or restless sleeper moves around too much. To resolve this, I measured one slat then went to my local home improvement store and spent $30 to add another 8 slats along the base. It dramatically increased the overall bed support and strengthened the frame. BUYERS BEWARE: Shipment of product was terrible! When I received the package, Fedex did not use a dolly to move the item off the truck (despite it being 40 pounds!). It was banged and dented, even gashed in two sections. This resulted in visible aesthetic damage to the frame, but I got lucky because the imperfections were on the underbelly of the parts. Also: the assembly guide is garbage. There are 6 types of screws all poured into bags: not separated and not easily identifiable in poorly sized pictures. Get a friend and have your thinking cap on during a 1 hour assembly process. Also: borrow a power drill with hex bits. You'll need those; otherwise, it's carpal tunnel city! If you can get passed the awful instructions, potential shipment damage, and aren't afraid to invest a few extra dollars for slates to make the frame sturdier, this bed is a good choice for guest / occasional use.

Only had the frame a few months and it has broken twice now. My husband was able to fix the first time by adding a piece of wood to the frame but now the side rail has broken where it connects to the footboard
