these not too thick and very soft. In the foot they fit but they fit the calf kind of tightly. If you want you can wear them as knee socks and they'll never fall down, so that's the upside. They are well made and since I will be wearing them with taller boots it's probably a good thing they fit the way they do. Since I haven't bought socks in a while, I'll end up loving them and order more.
