More fun than it looks.

When I ordered this, I was initially going to use it for my chicory root tea (a drink said to be similar to coffee), which required a French Press compared to a drip coffee maker. However, after using it for a while, I'm using it for other coffees and making larger batches than I usually make with my drip coffee maker. The instructions on how to use it were very easy, the plunger unit is easy to take apart for cleaning (the top and the filter on the bottom can be screwed off), and the French Press has measurements on the side detailing how much coffee you're making (13.5 oz, 27 oz, etc.). To summarize this review, the French Press is fun to use and requires more hands-on action than simply using a drip coffee maker. Just make sure you have a tea kettle ready to heat up the water, or if you already have an electric coffee maker, you can use that as well.

Makes great coffee, handy for cold brew

I have used this for both hot coffee and cold brew in the fridge. It makes great coffee either method. It's probably not going to used for making more than a cop of hot coffee at a time since it doesn't really keep it hot. But a full pot of cold brew concentrate yielded three days'worth of iced coffee that helped me through a heat wave. A good little item if you like smooth,rich coffee.

Big enough to make for two

This is the best investment I have made all year. The size is perfect, and i love that it has measurements on the outside of the beaker and the number of scoops suggested for those measurements. Fear not, they provide the scoop, so you dont have to guess if its the correct suggestion. Along with my self heating kettle ofcourse. I work at home and dont always wake-up in time to wait for my coffee to be brewed. This way I can just do it in my room. I wish these existed, ( or at least more obtainable) when I was in college. This would be great to have in your dorm.
