Awful at Heating Water

This is not a true water saver! Have to leave the water running for while for it to warm up and it only reaches lukewarm temperature. In the picture the finish is close to "brush nickle" but it is actually closer to a chrome. Used it twice and water stays on the finish leaving water spots. We have a water softener and this is the first time we experience this issue. Then again, this is our first experience using Delta. Everything else in the house is Moen.

Hello Felix, Thank you for reviewing the Delta shower faucet. I'm sorry for the issues you're having. This product includes a rotational limit stop that has to be adjusted per the installation instructions on page "7" of the installation guide (https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/102477%20Rev%20A.pdf) to get hotter water. Also, if you have a tankless heater system it can cause issues with pressure balance and thermostatic devices. The flow of hot water through the valve may not be sufficient to trigger your tankless system to fire up and heat the water. Your tankless heater will need to be calibrated correctly to compensate for the flow rate of the faucet. One suggestion that we could make for you would be for you to turn down the temperature of the heater to 120° or lower. The less hot water would have to be flowing more to get the desired mixed temperature. Also, here is some basic cleaning and care information: Always blot dry any water from faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to build up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains and calcium build up may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse thoroughly with water afterward. Also take care to protect surfaces that may be damaged by vinegar. The white vinegar can stain porous stones like granite, limestone and marble. You can also use a cleaner called " bar keepers friend" which works very well with removing water spots. If additional cleaning is required, all of our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: 409, Fantastic, or Windex, when used according to the manufacturers' instructions for use. Avoid using the following which can damage your finish: Avoid industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, green Scotch-Brite heavy duty scrub sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub and Tile Cleaner, Lime Away and Soft Scrub. Please contact us at customerservice@deltafaucet.com or 1-800-345-3358 if further assistance is needed. Best regards, Brandis
