Calvin Klein Eternity Flame Eau De Toilette Spray 30ml/1oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'd not worn any Calvin Klein fragrance since my teens and early 20's and back then Eternity or Escape were always applied liberally before any night out in the hope it would make me more appealing to girls. More often than not this was not the case, but I put that down to my poor chatting up prowess and terrible seduction techniques. That said, on the few occasions I was successful, including on what you could say are landmark events in a young man's development, I know I was wearing those fragrances. So I look back on them with fondness and at the same time associate them with my youth. I was very interested to find out how Calvin Klein had updated Eternity and was hoping that they had created something new which would apply to an older and not so much wiser me, 20 years on. The freshness of the original Eternity is still there, with top notes which I'd say were fruity, followed by a warmer base, like new leather, which gives the overall scent a more mature and sophisticated feel without being too heavy or overpowering. Eternity Flame maintains the easy to wear appeal of the original but is now refreshed with more opulent and refined elements. I think Eternity Flame is a perfect all-rounder and works as an everyday, daytime fragrance while still having enough depth and detail to work for evenings and special occasions. I've been wearing it for a couple of days and I've already received plenty of compliments, including some surprise when I tell them it's Eternity. The scent lasts a good amount of time throughout the day and I've not found the need to re-apply.
