it heats up quickly and has a decent soft surface. It fit my queen mattress perfectly. My only dislike is you can feel the wires through a normal sheet. We placed it under a mattress topper and no more issues.

It has done the job of warming up the mid-section of the bed, but I would not say it evenly warms the bed. The foot section remained much cooler. The fleece texture will definitely irk some folks, but we solved that problem by using a mattress cover. It was warmer than an electric blanket, but warmed much the same way. Overall, it was a good bargain for the price.
