Terrible tasting ice cubes

Pro: Large Ice cubes that easily come out of tray. Con: No matter how many times I wash, rinse and wipe the tray the ice cubes taste odd. I do use bottled drinking water. I even covered up the tray in freezer with a sealed plastic bag. My conclusion: The tray has a perfumed scent. Whatever that is - it's leeching out into the ice cubes. I am going to throw it away.
