Handle fit my 12-inch file just fine. Handle makes working with the file smooth and effortless. Plus, I don't have to worry about stabbing myself with the tang if the handle wasn't there. Good purchase. Since Bahco file handles are custom made for various file sizes and types, I wish the handle had the part number molded into it. I also use Bahco 9-485-9 handles for my 10 and 8 inch files. They also work great.
