Cycloaddition of dicyanoepoxide and electrophilic reaction of atropate (Paperback)

An effort to synthesize hetero-cyclic five-member ring using [3]2] cycloaddition reaction of epoxide with olefin is reported. Hetero-cyclic five-member ring has wide range of applications in pharmaceutics because most of them are biologically active compounds. Here 2,2-dicyano-3,4-diethoxycarbony-l-4-fluoro-5-phenylfuran has been made by the reaction of gem-dicyano phenyl epoxide with diethyl (E)-2-fluoromaleate.
