Pump draws water thru side ports to prevent suction-locking to floor or bucket. It has internal float valve, so the automatic on/off can function in tight spaces. Can pump gray water. Plugs into standard US 120/130 volt outlet or power strip. Very quiet. No assembly needed. But, you will need a 3/4" NPT to GHT adapter if you intend to connect to typical garden hose. Otherwise, pump comes with various connections.

Now this is a Real Pump...for my purposes, it is perfect, as its only intermittently utilized for about 15 to 20 minutes twice a day, however, it delivers a reasonable PSI %26 GPM flow rate after lifting the water approximately six (6) feet in the air. The pump appears to be quite solid and heavy and is apparently well made...its not silent by any means, but its not particularly loud, either...like i said, its perfect for my purposes. Would recommend.

Super happy with this pump. I purchased is specifically to drain my hot tub. It is pretty much plug and play and the force/suction is quick and efficient. I also like how low the water level is at the end of the cycle - it eliminates almost every last drop on a level surface. I would recommend.
