BRIO Railway World Deluxe Set Train Set

We are blown away by this set! It does NOT disappoint!! First of all, unpacking this set was comparable to Christmas morning for our kids! With so many "stations" for the train to travel to, there is very little room for arguing over who gets to operate each part. Parts light up and make noise, which add to the kid's delight and I'm thrilled that they aren't cheap or annoying sounds! They're actually pretty impressive! Compared to other brands, the quality of the components are unparalleled. The tracks are very smooth and solid. The plastic pieces are also very well constructed and fit with the wooden pieces very nicely. We received this in exchange for our honest opinion and at first I was concerned that the novelty of the toy would wear off quickly as with other brands we've owned in the past. However, it is consistently pulled out day after day, week after week. It is one of the top two most played with toy we own! It does fit with other brands, although the Brio brand parts are easy to tell apart from the others. My one critique I would be I wish the boxes it came with were slightly larger. The pieces come so well packed, that one needs some serious 'Tetris' skills to reload the box...especially if you have additional pieces that are sold separately (also worth getting). Of course, this is easily remedied by getting a separate plastic tub/fabric or other storage bin to keep all the parts together. I just would've liked to keep them in the containers they come in. They're pretty cool tubs themselves. All in all, this is a fantastic toy and provides hours of fun!
