These did require seasoning, but once that was done they work well. I added five layers during the initial seasoning process and they are holding up very well. The surface is not very smooth, but with the added seasoning, they are fairly non-stick. These were a great price and solid quality. They should be around for many many years to come.

Although it looks good on paper, the items are quite small for practical everyday family use. If I'd known this, I would have brought a larger size; starting with the 10"", the 12"" and the pot.
