I have always used and trusted Ziploc. I do a lot of canning and freezing of my garden products and have used Ziploc in freezing and storing,, I had a very recent bad experience with the Ziploc Quart freezer bags, when opening them the bag came apart just below the zipper part of the bag,It appears the bags (39) of them from a box of 54 were defective, I was getting a little irritated. I would still use this product, but am a little nervous now.

I just bought a new bag of Ziploc Quart size freezer bags. The first bag out of the box was hard to open and also leaked at the corner of the seal. The bags as I used them felt thinner and I feel they are also harder to open than previously. I will be trying some other brands as I feel they are inferior to the old bags.

Tears Easily
I recently bought this item and am disappointed with the "improvement." The new bags tear easily down the side seam when opened. I have not used many from the box yet, but have already had multiple tears down the sides. This is not a problem I have had in the past. The ones that do not tear work great for freezing, but it is a toss up if the bag will be usable.
