The Daffodil Trumpet ‘Dinnerplate’, Narcissus 'Dinnerplate’, has such a large yellow cup that it almost covers the bright white petals behind it! Rather than drooping, these fragrant flowers face onward and become spectacular showstoppers. Dinnerplate is tall with strong stems, will not fall over, and returns to make a spectacle in your garden year after year, and they increase in beauty and number each year. The trumpet daffodil is as long as or longer than the perianth segments, so the trumpet sticks out a long way. (The outer ring of flower petals is the perianth in daffodils). Because of their awful taste, trumpet bulbs are resistant to many pests and remain undisturbed. Trumpets require very little care and look fabulous when planted in large groups at the edge of woods, or when scattered throughout your perennial garden.
