High quality, but please bring back the similar shorts with deeper pleats

I've learned to stock up on Tommy Bahama products when I find something I really like. The 2015 version of the cargo shorts with elastic waist is comfortable enough, but I prefer, and usually wear, the earlier version from the back of my closet with deeper pleats and a little looser feel. Also, please be sure that the drawstring in the waist is long enough for those of us who wear XXL. One size drawstring does not fit all.

Excellent workmanship & overall quality is good!~

I was disappointed that TB had discontinued its former Cargo Short and replaced it with these. Overall they were OK BUT, unfortunately they did not meet my expectations of the earlier Cargo Short. They lacked the heavier material "toughness" feel and, the pockets were smaller and did not contain the change mini-pocket! Given the choice, I would prefer the former version of the Short!!!

Agree with others...BRING BACK THE OLD STYLE

I also have purchased these shorts for the last 3-5 years and literally would wear a pair for a week at a time (I know...gross) but were that good. The newer style is terrible, but they really are not as good as the older style in this short. Less room and a bit tighter in the crotch. Pockets are also a bit more annoying. The only problem I had with older style was the pockets would get holes in them after a years wear n tear.
