Solid Set!
Overall, the set looks good with solid aluminum pieces. The board is wood with a thin sheet of stainless steel plate (or just metal plate) glued to its top. 3 of the pieces came with some manufacturing defects such as small chips and craters. I was happy overall even with small visible defects. The metal pieces look stylish and sophisticated. The chess set is nice and big, the king stands 4.5 inches. The king is not 6 inches tall as it was advertised, but I think they meant 6 inches from the ground to the top of the king while the king is standing on the board which stands about 1.5 inches tall itself. I like the set, and recommend it to whoever is either into chess or chess set collection. Even for just looks!
