I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised upon opening the box. I expected much lower quality than what I received. This bed is solid, well built, aesthetically pleasing, and easy to assemble. I would definitely reccomend to anyone looking for quality at an affordable price.

My almost 14-year-old was thrilled to get this bed and say good-bye to her old bunkbed. It took my husband and I just under 2 hours to get it out of the box and fully assembled. The instructions are pretty much pictures, numbers and arrows. I would prefer step by step written instructions but we were able to get started and the instructions made more sense as we moved forward. We made a couple mistakes that had to be undone but nothing major. The instructions say you can assemble this bed using a screwdriver and the included Allen wrenches. This is probably true but would take hours and a lot of physical effort. My husband used his cordless power drill. He went to the hardware store and got an Allen wrench attachment. After we got it assembled and put the mattress on it, we were both impressed with the feel of the bed. It is solid and doesn't squeak or shift when you lay on it or move around. The queen size mattress fit perfectly on the bed. It looks great and really upgraded my daughter's room from little girl to young lady. She loves it. The bed is grey upholstery. It is a nice neutral grey that can coordinate well with about any color. I like that because we can change her curtains and bedspread in the future as her tastes change.
