Bates has been my favorite for 20 yrs.

Tried cheaper but comfort and quality was bad. I have worn this type of Bates for a long time. Numerous pairs. My only minor complaint is the foam insole is thin. I put a good quality insole in and then put the original Bates ones over the top.
