This armoire has a "barn wood look" but the finish is very smooth. It offers a good amount of space for hang-up clothing, enough space below to put a travel carry case, computer case and a few miscellaneous items. There is storage space at the top for personal items. I like this product very much. It actually looks better in our room than it does in the picture. Someone else assembled it and it took him just under an hour.
