loving this product in the night time as it gets so cold outside and this small portable fire pit is very easy to start and does the job so well..first time I burned some wood pieces to see how it works and it worked so well but the fire only lasted like 15 mins and next day I tried wood pellets and it stayed lit and hot for more than an hour which was really amazing!

The instructions don't show everything there is a little round stainless steel basket. It's not the heating element that you put the chips on top of and I have no clue what it's for. I'm not sure if it's used to cover the ring or what it's used for. So I'm gonna cover the little ring that you pick up after you are done and it's cooled down maybe it protects the ring from getting ashes I have no clue.
