Garlic chives are a tasty green chive variety with a mild garlic taste that can be used as a garnish or flavoring in many cuisines. The thin, flat leaves provide a light burst of garlic flavor. With Back to the Roots Organic Garlic Chives, you can plant and harvest garlic chives all on your own. For the best quality chive leaves, plant seeds outdoors and thin to bunches of 2-3 plants. Spread the seeds about 8 inches apart, tend to the organic seeds, and watch them grow to a mature height of 12-18 inches. Make sure to provide your garlic chive plants with necessary sun and shade as well as plenty of water. After about 90 days, harvest your homegrown garlic chives and add them to your favorite recipes, including tofu stir-fry with garlic chives, fried garlic chives, garlic chives and eggs, and more.
