The Scorch Marker Pro is a revolutionary way to complete wood burning projects. It is the upgraded version of the original Scorch Marker. Simply prep your surface by sanding to at least 220 grit. Then shake your Scorch Marker and apply your design. Once you have completed your design, apply heat and the design will begin to burn into the wood. The more heat you apply, the darker the design! This is best accomplished with a heat gun, but an oven can also be used (350° F until the desired effect is achieved). If using a heat gun, we recommend one of at least 1000 watts and 500° F or hotter. Other woodburning tools are more complicated, and there is always the potential to burn yourself, making this marker a great alternative. Traditional electrically powered tools require that you constantly change the tip to get the desired effect, which can be a hassle and time-consuming. With this pen, all you need to do is draw and heat, making it the easiest and safest option. It also includes two tips! It has a bullet tip on one end and a foam brush on the other. This amazing tool eliminates the need of soldering irons to create beautiful wood-burned art. You can choose to either draw your designs freehand or trace them with stencils or templates. Wood-burned designs look most striking against lighter woods like birch, basswood, poplar, aspen, and sourwood. If you make a mistake, you can simply sand it down and try again! This marker even works on paper and cardboard. The chemicals used in these markers are non-toxic and odor-free, making them food safe, so you can feel free to use them on cutting boards and other surfaces you might eat off of. Other wood burning kits have a lot of components, not to mention, the wood-burning process takes much longer with a heated pen. This tool can even make crafting fun for men, women and children! It makes a great gift for any beginner or person new to crafting!

Scorch Markers are Awesome!
This is my third Scorch Marker that's how much I love them! There are so many ways to use these: from paper to wood! Just make sure you sand any wood first and use a high heat gun! Craft heat guns and hair dryers do not get hot enough. Make sure to saturate the surface and use the marker end for outlines. There's so mamy ways to get your design onto a surface as well!. No cutter? Use graphite paper to trace your design on. Sky is literally the limit! I love making gifts with these. So easy to personalize them. Make sure to seal your project appropriately to protect your work, ask me how I know? Lol! They make an amazing sealer/glue called Maker's Magic that's waterproof cured in 48 hours, I also use that all the time.
