Along the way she is emotionally torn between her brother Jack's somewhat arrogant, intellectual best friend Jimmy and the sharp-dressed, debonnaire Lee. This fictionalized memoir follows a young woman from the Oklahoma Ozarks to the US Capital in a quest to find her God-guided path into a new life there, while not forgetting the family, friends and lessons left behind.
