For the price you cannot beat this clock. It has everything you would need, and is absolutely the most quiet clock I have ever had. You won't hear it "ticking" in the middle of the night. Nice soft blue backlight, too, and only when you want it to be lit. Love it!

I've had this for several days now, I can say that I never hear it ticking while I'm trying to sleep. The face is large enough. Just a great clock. I am almost tempted to buy another one for when this one needs replacement. I would definitely recommend this item.

Good alarm clock for the money

I like that it is big-faced. The discreet ascending alarm is fine for me, a light sleeper. The backlight was too bright for me, but the option of pressing a button when I want to read the time is just fine. Plastic seems to b the norm now (instead of metal), so OK there. There is no hum or ticking noise, and it is of course movable, being cordless.
