Stopped using mixer

I was hoping I would not have to buy a beater replacement but it is causing oxidation and slowly chipping off into the food I am preparing. I use my mixer and have had to revert to a hand mixer. I take very good care of my appliances but this is not from misuse. Very disappointed.
