Love these. Great for commuting and road trips. Steady and secure contact in heat and rain.

Great life and handling on Sport Touring VFR800

I have been running Michelin for awhile now so I can't compare much to other tires but there's a reason I keep coming back to these. They fit my needs perfectly since I use my VFR800 for daily commuting during the week and fairly hard mountain riding on the weekends. I have been consistently impressed with these tires for handling the long highway miles as well as hard cornering. I have 10,000 miles on this rear tire as of this review and the attached tread pictures - pretty incredible mileage from a sporty tire (For reference, my pilot power tire lasted about 6k with this type of riding). This is over the course of 1 year. I ordered a new one but I'm still going to run these awhile longer. I have pushed these tires hard in the twisties chasing down "real" sport bikes and they handle it great - I've only gotten them to get loose around some rough switchbacks and hard braking but they go right back to staying planted. (I say them because I also have the Road 5 front.) I am lucky enough to live by some amazing roads where I can really push the bike and these tires are definitely up to the challenge. I don't push their limits in the wet but I've never had issues with them when commuting in the rain at highway speeds. Overall these are great all around tires that definitely hold their own during hard riding and have impressive tread life. I don't think I'll run anything else on my VFR. -m-2004 HONDA Interceptor 800 VFR800--

Wife says they're great on her BMW R1200R

Prior to these, she had been using Michelin Pilot Road 4's since they introduced tham, and before that PR2's. I didn't like the PR3's on my BMW K1200GT - felt like riding on sand when on the edge of the tread (PR3's), so never bought those for the wife's bikes. We went from PR2 to PR4 and have been very happy with them and now the PR5's are great too. While I am a Michelin fan-boy (bikes and cars and trucks), on the BMW R1200GS, I use Metzler 'Tourance' (not the "NEXT" version - those suck). -m-2013 BMW R1200R--
