[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never owned any wool rugs and as soon as I received this rug I fell in love. It's thick and soft, with a lovely texture and is a joy to walk on. The back of the rug is also soft so it won't damage your floor and because there is no backing it's more flexible, but it definitely needs a pad for it to stay in place and lay flat. It seems to be well made. All the edges are very even and straight. The natural colors are great and I love the look of the traditional hand-woven patterns. It lit up our basement and added a cozy feel to that space. It also brings cold and warm elements of the same room together. It does shed but it's typical and expected with a new wool rug. Also, when vacuuming this rug, make sure your beater bar is turned off, or if your vacuum doesn't have this option, set the bar to the highest pile setting so you do not encourage your rug to shed even more. I sense that with proper care this rug will look as new for many years to come!
