Make sure you clean surfaces well before application, I use an alcohol based cleaner for quick drying. Adhesive is secure and strong. Cushion material is more than adequate for chairs, table and light weight furnishings. Have not tried heavy weight items yet but there is more than enough pads to potentially double up if necessary. Easy enough to color or darken with furniture sharpies.
