A list of 391 species of Indian piscicidal plants is presented in alphabetical order of 96 families and 208 genera with detail biological names, their part used for fish poisoning with bibliographic records. Only 30 plants species among all these plants are reinvestigated in laboratory with various trash fish species, rest are all of ethno-botanical importance. Fabeaaceae has 31 plants species, Euphorbiaceae with 24 plants and Apocynaceae with 17 plant species in decreasing order among all 391 Indian piscicidal plants. Prominent phytochmeicals are also discussed with other piscicidal principals. Detail and comprehensive table depicting important content of reference along with the lethal dose, preparation method if any available. this book will serve as landmark for the researchers in biocidal and piscicdal plant research.
