Pretty tree, base is useless

My tree arrived quickly. However, there were no directions in the box at all. Also, the base would not hold the bottom piece at all. I ended up having to buy a new base at my local Walmart store. It should also come with a warning that two of the light settings are essentially strobe effect.

The branches are not strong enough for many of my ornaments, there are half as many lights as pictured, and no space between branches for larger ornaments. On the plus side it's compact, easy to set up and inexpensive. It is adequate for small ornaments and small spaces.
